2024 Georges Conference on College Journalism

Connecting Student Journalists

The 2024 Christopher J. Georges Conference on College Journalism took place on April 5-6, 2024, at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in Cambridge, Mass.

Organized by the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard, the two-day event celebrated the 20th anniversary of the annual Georges Conference, which brings student journalists from colleges across the U.S. together to network with their peers, learn about new trends in media and attend workshops led by award-winning journalists. This year, we also hosted journalism educators and advisors who help guide student newsrooms.

The Nieman Foundation is grateful to the family of journalist Christopher J. Georges for their continued support of the conference, which provides aspiring young journalists with new ideas, skills and resources. The foundation is also thankful for the support of the speakers and volunteers from The Harvard Crimson, who work closely with Nieman staff to make this event possible each year.
