1993 Louis Lyons Award

In 1993, the journalists of Oslobodjenje (Liberation), a daily newspaper from Sarajevo, received the award. They kept their newspaper alive and on the streets in spite of Serbian attacks that destroyed their buildings, killed colleagues and cut off paper supplies.
