Murray Seeger dies at 82; L.A. Times reporter led Moscow bureau

Murray Seeger, a Los Angeles Times foreign correspondant who served as Moscow bureau chief in the early 1970s and was later director of information for the AFL-CIO, has died at 82. Seeger wrote for Nieman Reports many times over the years, and served as associate editor of the magazine in the ‘90s. He was a 1962 Nieman Fellow.
