Wendell Steavenson's new book, “Circling the Square: Stories from the Egyptian Revolution” chronicles the experiences of Egyptians grappling with the hope, change and violence associated with protests in Cairo's Tahir Square. Steavenson, a 2014 Nieman Fellow, spent more than a year in Cairo writing for The New Yorker during the revolution. Ecco published the book in July 2015.
