The Associated Press appoints Andrew Meldrum assistant Africa editor

Andrew Meldrum, a longtime editor and foreign correspondent with extensive experience in Africa, has been appointed assistant Africa editor for The Associated Press. Meldrum, a 2008 Nieman Fellow, will be based at AP’s Africa regional headquarters in Johannesburg.
