Nieman Lab launches weekly Press Publish podcasts

The Nieman Journalism Lab has launched a new weekly podcast series, Press Publish, that will feature conversations with the people who are shaping the future of news. The project kicks off with Dan Sinker and Erin Kissane of Source, a Knight-Mozilla OpenNews project, discussing how they built a gathering place for news developers. In coming weeks, look for episodes with journalists, technologists, business managers, entrepreneurs and academics as they discuss their ideas and projects. Read more

An evening with The Boston Globe

Join executives from The Boston Globe for a discussion about the paper’s much-anticipated new subscription-only website, BostonGlobe.com, on Monday, Sept. 26 at 5:30 p.m. Guests will include Martin Baron, the Globe’s editor; Chris Mayer, the newspaper’s publisher; Michael Manning, product director; and Lisa DeSisto, the paper’s chief advertising officer.
