Kabral Blay-Amihere, chairman of National Media Commission in Ghana and a 1991 Nieman Fellow, recently published his third book, “Between the Lion and the Elephant: Memoirs of an African Diplomat.” The chronicles the achievements, challenges and experiences of the author as Ghana’s Ambassador to Sierra Leone and Cote d’Ivoire. The University of Sierra Leone has conferred on Ambassador Kabral Blay-Amihere, Class of 1991 and Ghana's Ambassador to Cote D'Ivoire, a doctoral degree in Civil Laws. The degree was in recognition of Blay-Amihere's invaluable contribution to strengthening bilateral ties between Sierra Leone and Ghana and for his intellectual input to the mission of the University of Sierra Leone.
