Two new members joined the Nieman Advisory Board in 2019: David Skok, a 2012 Nieman Fellow and the founder and editor-in-chief of the The Logic, a new subscription news outlet that provides in-depth reporting on Canada’s innovation economy, and Wendi C. Thomas, a 2016 Nieman Fellow and editor and publisher of MLK50: Justice Through Journalism, a nonprofit newsroom focused on poverty, power and public policy. Thomas is also part of ProPublica’s 2019 Local Reporting Network.
The Nieman Foundation is grateful for the many contributions of those who finished their service on the board this year: Gregory Brock, a 1994 Nieman Fellow, Mark Ethridge, from the Nieman class of 1986, and Tom Regan, from the class of 1992.
