Raymond J. White, a Nieman Fellow in the class of 1976, has died in Maryland at the age of 79.
Raymond J. White, a Nieman Fellow in the class of 1976, has died in Maryland at the age of 79. White began his career as a print and broadcast journalist in Syracuse; New York City; Scranton, Pa.; and Baltimore before moving to Washington in 1973 to work for the Post-Newsweek Stations. He later produced the PBS finance program “Wall Street Week” hosted by Louis Rukeyser and in 1979, was named editor of the Washington Journalism Review, now published as the American Journalism Review. From 1984-1986, White led Washington bureau of Fox News. He also taught journalism courses at American University. Learn more
