Mary C. Curtis, NF ’06, wins Green Eyeshade Awards

Mary C. Curtis, NF ’06, has won two Green Eyeshade Awards from the Society for Professional Journalists (online category) for columns and stories written for The Washington Post: first place in commentary and second in political reporting.

Curtis additionally moderated a recent panel discussion, Healing Relationships between Police and Communities of Color, at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s 2015 America Healing Conference. A native of Baltimore, she has been providing commentary on the same topic in the wake of Freddie Gray’s death in police custody, including a piece for NPR: Beyond The Headlines, There's Much More To West Baltimore.
