Julia Reynolds’s book, “Blood in the Fields: Ten Years Inside California’s Nuestra Familia Gang,” will be released in September by Chicago Review Press. Reynolds, a staff writer at The Monterey County Herald, details the FBI’s decade-long effort to take down one of the country’s most violent gangs.
