Amy Ellis Nutt, NF '05 , has published a new book: “Becoming Nicole: The Transformation of an American Family." The book tells the story of a transgender girl, her identical twin brother, and their family's journey as they learn to embrace differences and true identity.
The book was selected as Amazon’s Spotlight book of the month for October 2015 and a Barnes & Noble “Discover Great New Writers” pick for the fall.
Nutt is a science writer at The Washington Post. In 2011 she won the Pulitzer Prize in feature writing while working at The Star-Ledger. She previously was a reporter for Sports Illustrated. A graduate of Smith College, she has masters degrees in philosophy from M.I.T. and journalism from Columbia University.
