Tye, a 1994 Nieman Fellow, is a former Boston Globe reporter and head of a Boston-based fellowship program that trains journalists covering healthcare. He is also the author of 8 books, including “Bobby Kennedy: The Making of a Liberal Icon” and “Demagogue: The Life and Long Shadow of Senator Joe McCarthy.”
