As a nonprofit educational institution, the Nieman Foundation relies on the generosity of its supporters to fund the fellowships, publications and programs it administers. You can help sustain Nieman’s mission to promote and elevate the standards of journalism by making a donation.
Read a message from Nieman curator Ann Marie Lipinski about the importance of supporting good journalism and a free press worldwide.
The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation will match individual donations of $1,000 and less made to the Nieman Foundation between Dec. 19, 2016, and Jan. 19, 2017, up to a total of $25,000. The Knight News Match is a new $1.5 million grant available to nearly 60 nonprofit new organizations launched to counter growing concerns about fake news and unreliable sources of information that undermine quality journalism.
