Rick Bragg, a 1993 Nieman Fellow, has written a biography of Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Jerry Lee Lewis, titled "Jerry Lee Lewis: His Own Story," that will be published by Harper on October 28. Bragg spent two years interviewing the Grammy-winning musician, best known for hits "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' on" and "Great Balls of Fire," about his 60-year career—and all the scandals and excesses that went along with it. A professor of writing at the University of Alabama, Bragg won the 1996 Pulitzer Prize for Feature Writing.
