The Nieman Foundation and Harvard’s Office of the Senior Vice Provost for Faculty Development and Diversity welcomed three leading political journalists to campus on Sept. 27 for “Press and the Race: A Presidential Election Roundtable,” an event designed for Harvard faculty members.
The panelists included New York Times political reporter and CNBC chief Washington correspondent John Harwood, NF ’90; Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson, NF ’88; and Ryan Lizza, Washington correspondent for The New Yorker. Harvard historian and author Jill Lepore moderated the discussion, which led to candid forecasts about the outcome in the race for the White House and the dearth of nationally recognized female political reporters.
