Amanda J. Crawford is an assistant professor of journalism at the University of Connecticut, where she teaches press history and media law. She is a former reporter for Bloomberg News, The Arizona Republic and The Baltimore Sun, and serves on the national board of the Journalism & Women Symposium. She researches and writes about misinformation and journalists’ role in democracy.
