Mara Schiavocampo, the digital correspondent for NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams, travels the world producing, shooting, reporting, and editing video pieces, as well as blogging and shooting still photos. She has been a special correspondent for The Oprah Winfrey Show and is a recurring guest commentator on NPR. Schiavocampo was named the National Association of Black Journalists’ 2007 Emerging Journalist of the Year, and in 2008 received seven Telly Awards, including a Silver Telly for an investigative report on New York’s black market for cigarettes. |
