Larry Habegger is a freelance writer, editor, teacher, and syndicated columnist whose work has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Tribune, Travel & Leisure, and Outside. In 1993, he co-founded the award-winning Travelers’ Tales Books, and as executive editor he has helped shape more than 100 volumes of travel literature. He is also editor-in-chief of Triporati.com, a destination discovery site. He teaches the art of the personal narrative at writing conferences and in private workshops, and co-founded The Prose Doctors, an editors’ collective.
