Jon Lee Anderson has written for the New Yorker since 1998, reporting from Iran, Cuba, Liberia, and Zimbabwe. He has covered wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Lebanon, and profiled political leaders including Augusto Pinochet, King Juan Carlos, and Hugo Chavez. His books include Che Guevara: A Revolutionary Life and The Fall of Baghdad. Anderson was raised in Taiwan, Colombia, Indonesia, South Korea, and Liberia, and lives in England with his wife and three children.
