2009 Nieman Conference on Narrative Journalism: Telling True Stories in Turbulent Times

Jennifer Crandall

Jennifer Crandall works for the Washington Post Web site as a multimedia journalist capturing and editing audio, shooting stills, and producing videos. Her recent effort is a video project called “onBeing,” which charts a broad range of human emotions and experiences by profiling the quirks, histories, ideas, and passions of people who usually don’t make the news. “onBeing” was recently nominated for an Emmy Award and, after a hiatus, will relaunch this year.
