Andrew Lam

Andrew Lam is a writer and an editor with the Pacific News Service and a commentator on NPR’s All Things Considered. He co-founded New America Media, an association of more than 2,000 ethnic media organizations in America. Lam’s essays have appeared in dozens of newspapers and magazines, and his short stories have been included in literary journals. His book Perfume Dreams: Reflections on the Vietnamese Diaspora won the Pen American “Beyond the Margins” Award in 2006, and was short-listed for Asian American Literature Award. Lam’s first short-story collection, Birds of Paradise, is due out this year.
