Kirsty Milne, a 2004 Nieman Fellow and former editor of the New Statesman, has died. She joined the magazine in 1993 after it merged with her former paper, New Society. Milne wrote reviews and features for the NS and other publications, including the Times, Telegraph and a politics column for The Scotsman. She also worked at the BBC and as a freelance writer, including time as a theater critic. Read more
