Anna Fifield, a 2014 Nieman Fellow, is the editor of The Dominion Post in New Zealand. Previously, she was The Washington Post’s Beijing bureau chief, covering all aspects of greater China, and, from 2014 to 2018, she was the Post’s bureau chief in Tokyo, focusing on Japan and the Koreas. Her book, “The Great Successor: The Divinely Perfect Destiny of Brilliant Comrade Kim Jong Un,” was published by PublicAffairs in June 2019.
