Franziska Blome is an Emmy and DuPont-Columbia Award-winning documentary filmmaker. She is currently working at Spy Pond Productions on a two-hour PBS documentary on the fall of the Berlin Wall and the ensuing reunification of Germany. Prior to Fall of the Wall, at Vital Pictures, she was co-producer and researcher on the highly acclaimed PBS series on health disparities, Unnatural Causes. During her seven years at WGBH-TV (PBS), her projects included several documentaries for “American Experience,” “NOVA” and Africans in America, a six-hour series about slavery. She also has helped to organize several conferences at the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard.
