Nieman News

WBUR reporter Martha Bebinger, NF ’10, is part of a team of journalists who are taking a close look at veterans suffering from “moral injury,” a profound feeling of guilt and remorse that comes from a combat-related violation of a personal moral code. Working collaboratively, Boston’s WBUR, American Public Media’s Public Insight Network (PIN) and Symbolia have launched a new series that investigates this condition — something that extends beyond PTSD — and what researchers are doing to try to better understand it. A digital comic book, illustrated by Symbolia’s Andy Warner, was created to introduce the resulting series of special news reports.
