Nieman News

Supported by the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, journalist and 2009 Nieman Fellow Fatima Tlisova writes in the fall issue of Nieman Reports about the extreme dangers of reporting in the North Caucasus and the brutal targeting of Russian journalists.

The issue also features articles by Pulitzer Center journalists, including executive director Jon Sawyer, who explains how his center has become a model for nonprofit journalism initiatives in digital foreign correspondence. Jason Motlagh recalls how he first teamed up with the Pulitzer Center to start his career as an independent journalist reporting in war zones. And Kwame Dawes describes the links between poetry and journalism.

The Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard and the Pulitzer Center recently announced a new collaboration that will support international reporting initiatives with a special focus on global health coverage.
