South Korean Fellowship

The Asia Foundation nominates and sponsors a Nieman Fellowship for a South Korean journalist every other academic year. The fellowship is supported by the Sungkok Journalism Foundation, YBM Inc. and The Asia Foundation. Nomination by The Asia Foundation does not ensure acceptance as a Nieman fellow. Final selection is made by the Nieman Foundation. The Asia Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization committed to the development of a peaceful, prosperous, just, and open Asia-Pacific region.

The next fellowship opportunity will be for the class of 2014-2015. The deadline for applications to the Korea Office of The Asia Foundation is Dec. 10, 2013. In years where a Korean Fellowship sponsored by the Asia Foundation is not offered, Korean citizens can apply for International fellowships.
